Advice and Support Groups

There are several local organisations you can go to if you need help, support, advice or guidance in your caring role.

Newham Carers Network

Newham Carers Network provides advocacy, advice and support to carers in the London Borough of Newham.

They also enable and empower Carers Champions to represent the views and opinions of carers at:

  • the Newham Co-Production Forum
  • Newham Carers United Forums and
  • quarterly meetings with the Director of Adult Social Care at the London Borough of Newham.

Newham Rise

Newham Rise can help you if:

  • you are worried about the drug or alcohol use of someone you care for
  • you would you like to talk to someone about how another person’s drug use is affecting you

Newham Rise is a social care and health charity that provides a range of support to families, individuals and carers in Newham affected by drugs and alcohol.

Our services include family, couple and individual therapeutic interventions such as:

  • Counselling
  • Carers' support group
  • Drugs and alcohol awareness
  • Carers' assessments
  • Parenting support
  • Evening clinic: 5pm-7pm
